BE INFORMED: YOUR POOP CAN ACTUALLY DETERMINE IF YOU’RE HEALTHY OR NOT! SEE HERE…

“What your poop tells about your health”

In some study, poops has the ability to tell about your health.

Changes in bowel movement could be because of one’s diet, your body is fighting an infection, or your body is dealing with a serious condition.

Dr. Eric Esrailian, section head in general gastroenterology of the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA,  said that “Bowel Movements are important for your health because they are the body’s natural way of excreting waste from the body.”

Dr. Bernard Aserkoff of the GI Unit in Massachusetts General Hospital said that bowel movements are brown in color because of the bile produced in the liver.

A normal poop is smooth and soft in appearance and should be elongated and uncut. Its shape should really look like an ‘S’ and the texture should be even.

Different kinds of poop and the meaning in your health:

1. Small and hard and lumpy
Having this kind of poop may be a sign of acute inflammation in the small intestine. This poop is usually small, abrasive, and solid in appearance, with a diameter of 1-2 centimeters.
It may occur with people who have been taking antibiotics and this stool usually causes anal bleeding.

2. Sausage-shaped with lumps
This stool may also cause anal bleeding, with a diameter of 3-5 centimeters. It is common in people who suffer from IBS, or irritable bowel syndrome, according to Medline Plus.

3. Sausage-shaped with cracked surface
This has a very similar appearance to the previous one, but the main difference is that this is released by your body faster.

4. Sausage-shaped
Its appearance is smooth and it has a soft texture, this poop is considered normal and common among people who defecate once a day.

5. Soft blobs with defined edges
This poop is common among people who defecate more than once a day, especially after major meals.

6. Diarrhea-type
This kind of poop is similar to the one released during diarrhea, but it happens in conjunction with constipation. This may be a sign that the body is suffering from a disease or condition, depending on the odor and color.

7. Black or bright red
This poop indicates bleeding in the GIT, or the gastrointestinal tract – the stomach and the intestines.

8. Fluffy poop with ragged and torn edges
This stool has a soft texture and may be a potential sign of high blood pressure and stress from the person.

9. Pale brown or white
This indicates that the person may be suffering from hepatitis, cirrhosis, or even pancreatic disease.

10. Yellow-colored
This poop means that someone is suffering from gallbladder issues.

The smell of poop can also determine if someone has pancreatitis, cystic fibrosis, celiac disease, or problems with the digestion and absorption of food.
