“What your poop tells about your health”
In some study, poops has the ability to tell about your health.
Changes in bowel movement could be because of one’s diet, your body is fighting an infection, or your body is dealing with a serious condition.
Dr. Eric Esrailian, section head in general gastroenterology of the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, said that “Bowel Movements are important for your health because they are the body’s natural way of excreting waste from the body.”
A normal poop is smooth and soft in appearance and should be elongated and uncut. Its shape should really look like an ‘S’ and the texture should be even.
Different kinds of poop and the meaning in your health:
1. Small and hard and lumpy
Having this kind of poop may be a sign of acute inflammation in the small intestine. This poop is usually small, abrasive, and solid in appearance, with a diameter of 1-2 centimeters.
It may occur with people who have been taking antibiotics and this stool usually causes anal bleeding.

This stool may also cause anal bleeding, with a diameter of 3-5 centimeters. It is common in people who suffer from IBS, or irritable bowel syndrome, according to Medline Plus.
